Here's what happened in 2024: More than 300 backpacks were packed and distributed!
2025 BACKPACK MINISTRY
The Backpack Ministry is well under way. Backpacks have arrived. Pencils, pens, paper, notebooks, pencil boxes, composition books, crayons, and colored markers are here ready to be 'stuffed'. And more supplies are on the way!
Thanks to a multitude of volunteers and donors, this year's ministry is sure to bring great blessings to all - the workers, donors, and receivers! AND ...thanks to the hard work a our Backpack Ministry chair, Ana Davis, our volunteers, and donors, McDermott Elementary School will receive hundreds of backpacks stuffed with school supplies.
- Backpacks will be filled on July 26, 2025. Meet in the church Sanctuary at 9:00 am.
- Backpacks will be blessed on July 27, 2025 during our 10:00 am Sunday Worship Service. (If you are a student or teacher and would like YOUR backpack blessed, bring it on this Sunday!)
- Backpacks will be delivered to McDermott Elementary School on July 28, 2025. Meet in front of the church Sanctuary at 9:00 am.
