Children's Opportunities

Sunday Childcare: Childcare for newborns to 4-year-olds is available at 8:45am to noon in the Butterfly Room of the Education Building.

Children's Sunday School: 9:00am

PreK thru 2nd Grade children meet in the Treasure Trove room located in the Education Building.
3rd thru 5th Grade children meet in the Kaleidoscope room located in the Education Building.

Children's RISE group:

RISE is a monthly gathering designed for our "rising" kids - those energetic 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders who are on the brink of their teenage years.
RISE group meet each 4th Sunday from 4:00pm to 5:30pm in the Kaleidoscope room of the Education Building.
Here, we create a space where kids can have fun, build friendships, and grow in their walk with the Lord!

All children's teachers and caregivers are Safe Gatherings approved through the Rio Texas Conference.

Youth Opportunities

Youth Sunday School/Bible Study: 9:00am

6th thru 12th Grade youth meet in the Upstairs Classroom in the gymnasium

United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF)

UMYF meets each 4th Sunday of the month in the gymnasium from 4:00pm to 5:30pm
UMYC at Oxford UMC is dedicated to empowering young people as world-changing disciples of Jesus Christ - to nurture faith development, cultivate compassion, and encourage the young leaders of tomorrow!

Backpack Ministry

Every August, Oxford United Methodist Church sponsors backpacks filled with school supplies for the children of McDermott Elementary School. McDermott gives Oxford United Methodist Church a list of much needed school supplies that will be needed by their children, and our Backpack Ministry team takes it from there! The team seeks out donations from the community and the church, orders the supplies, then fills hundreds of backpacks. Oxford UMC is blessed each year when the backpacks are delivered to McDermott knowing we have filled a great need for these children.

Vacation Bible School

In the Summer months, Oxford hosts and annual Vacation Bible School. Children enjoy music, snacks, crafts, science, and active play as they learn about Christ!

Mother's Day Out

Oxford's Mother's Day Out (MDO) program is open to care for and educate young children from ages 30 months to 5 years. Our MDO program follows the NISD school calendar for open/close dates.
